Build Your OBL with CUC America
A physician-led approach to interventional care, designed to support efficiency, autonomy, and improved patient experience
CUC America provides the infrastructure, regulatory support, and operational capabilities to help develop and operate your OBL
How We Can Help You
Patients face long wait times, high costs, and hospital systems that are not designed for efficient outpatient interventional care.
Physicians face similar challenges — limited control over scheduling, administrative burden, and reduced autonomy in hospital-based practice.
Hospital infrastructure is not optimized for minimally invasive outpatient procedures.
Office-Based Labs (OBLs) offer a more efficient, physician-led model of care in a controlled outpatient setting.
CUC America develops and operates OBLs across the United States, partnering with interventional physicians to help implement this model.
What We Do
CUC America develops and operates Office-Based Labs (OBLs) focused on Interventional Radiology and Interventional Cardiology.
We provide the infrastructure, regulatory expertise, and operational support needed to develop and scale an OBL — so physicians can focus on clinical care.
You bring the clinical expertise. We support the platform around you.

What is MSK Embolization?
Musculoskeletal (MSK) embolization is an emerging, minimally invasive catheter-based treatment for chronic pain. It targets abnormal neovessels that form in areas of chronic inflammation, such as the knee, shoulder, or other joints.
By selectively embolizing these microscopic vessels, the procedure reduces inflammation and provides significant pain relief for conditions long considered difficult to treat, including knee osteoarthritis and frozen shoulder.
Why it matters for your OBL: MSK embolization represents a significant new frontier in interventional radiology. Offering this outpatient procedure allows you to serve a vast, previously untapped patient population suffering from chronic joint pain, driving both clinical impact and practice growth.
Collaborating with Leading Physicians
Dr. Yuji Okuno
Interventional Radiologist・Chief Director, Okuno Clinic, Tokyo, Japan
Dr. Okuno is an interventional radiologist and Chief Director of Okuno Clinic in Tokyo, Japan, known for his work in minimally invasive vascular and musculoskeletal treatments.
He is recognized for advancing the clinical application of embolization techniques for chronic musculoskeletal pain, including the development of the TAME (Transcatheter Arterial Micro-Embolization) approach.
CUC America collaborates with physicians such as Dr. Okuno to incorporate clinical expertise and structured training into the development of its OBL platform, supporting the adoption of emerging procedures such as MSK embolization.
Dr. Osman Ahmed
Professor of Radiology, University of Utah | Interventional Radiologist
Bio:Dr. Ahmed is a Professor of Radiology at the University of Utah and an interventional radiologist with fellowship training from Stanford University.
He is recognized for his work in interventional radiology and embolization, and has played a key role in advancing MSK embolization in the United States, including early adoption of genicular artery embolization.
His work spans clinical research, physician education, and the development of new treatment approaches, contributing to the growth of MSK embolization as an emerging field.
